Field Elm(Ulmus campestre) #1

About 50 cm high
Around 40 years old
Pot by Josef Mairhofer
From a tree which was collected in Germany in 1992

This elm is supposed to look like a very femal, elegant tree. And yes, it is supposed to look young. Who says that in bonsai trees absolutely have to try to look old. I think they should be impressive. One can impress with the character of old age but also with the lightness of young age. This could also be called a broadleaved literati tree. If you don't like this term, forget it.
