Winter 1998/99; We will have to work on the famification. And the pointed top looks too much like a 'bonsai'.

Winter 2001/2; the ramification is coming nicely. The crown lost the sharp triangular shape and looks more like a real tree.

Winter 2004/5
Spring 2005
Spring 2005; at an exhibit in Bavaria.
Winter 2005/6; the tree is painted with lime sulphur and, well, looks like it is painted.
Spring 2006; the trunk si still pale from painting with lime sulphur.
Winter 2006/7; starts looking real fine.
Fall 2007; for many the crown looks too wide. They are used to bonsai being higher thtn wide. Well, as far as I am concerned this is not a bonsai but a tree. The pot might looks too small and maybe it is. But what can one do if the foliage creates such opticla weight while the tree without foliage has much less optical weight. Without foliage the ot is fine size wise.
Winter 2007; without foliage one can see the real quality of a deciduos tree. By now I am rather happy with this one.
This is a virtual, of course. many fine branches are added. It shows what the tree will look like in five years from now. I maust be careful not to create a 'poodle' a tree that loosk like a 'bonsai' instead of a real tree.
